Linet Juma - Women's Basketball

Linet Juma of Texas College earned recognition as the RRAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her performance over the dates of Jan. 15-21. This is the conference's 10th weekly award of the 2017-18 basketball season.

Juma posted a pair of double-double games and a rare 20-rebound effort to lead the Lady Steers to a 1-1 week. The junior center delivered 19 points and 20 rebounds in a 50-46 loss to Wiley College (Texas), and she sparked an 86-61 victory over Jarvis Christian College (Texas) with 28 points and 15 boards. Overall, Juma connected on 15-of-26 shots from the field (57.7%) and 17-of-22 from the free throw line. The Kenyan leads the RRAC in rebounding with 12.3 boards per game, and she is fifth in scoring at 15.5 points per game. Texas College moved to 2-7 in conference play and 3-16 on the season.
