Paris Townsend - Women's Basketball

WACO, Texas – Paris Townsend of Texas College emerged as the RRAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her performance over the dates of Oct. 29-Nov. 4. This is the conference's first weekly award of the 2018-19 women's basketball season.

Townsend propelled the Steers to a 78-70 victory over Southern University-New Orleans (La.) as TXC started the season last Monday. The senior forward poured in 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds while collecting nine steals. Townsend, a native of Waxahachie, Texas, made 8-of-18 shots from field goal range and 4-of-7 from behind the three-point arc. The Steers are off to a 1-0 start to the season.
